KitchenKai ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Flux IT Solutions LLC. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app, website, and social media bot.

Information We Collect

• Account information: Email address, display name, and preferences you provide during signup.
• Usage data: Recipes you save, pantry items, meal plans, grocery lists, and chat messages with Chef Kai.
• Social media data: When you link your social account (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram), we store your platform identifier to recognize you when you interact with @KitchenKaiApp.
• Device information: Basic device type and browser information for app functionality.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide personalized recipe recommendations and cooking assistance.
• Manage your pantry, meal plans, and grocery lists.
• Recognize you on social media platforms when you interact with our bot.
• Send verification emails for account linking.
• Improve our service and fix bugs.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• AWS: Our infrastructure provider (hosting, database, AI processing).
• Meta/Google: Only the minimum data required for social bot functionality (responding to your messages).

Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time (see Data Deletion below).

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of all your data by visiting kitchenkai.com/data-deletion or emailing support@kitchenkai.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of the request.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage, and access controls to protect your data. Chat messages and personal data are stored in secured AWS infrastructure in the US-East-1 region.

Third-Party Services

Our app integrates with Spoonacular (recipe data), Amazon Bedrock (AI), and Meta/Google platforms (social bot). Each has their own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

KitchenKai is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
